We all know that sleep is pretty much mandatory. I mean if you have ever gone successive days with minimal or no sleep, you know that you turn into a zombie. I remember pulling all-nighters in college and even sometimes at work and I'd pretty much be a zombie without the bad makeup for days following. But what happens if we get sub-optimal sleep on a continued basis?
It may not be full on zombie carnage, but there are quite a few deleterious effects when we chronically under-sleep or get routinely disrupted sleep. Ask any new parent! They'll clue you in for sure!
