You probably don’t think much about it in the moment, but that chime or vibration coming from your smartphone is really impinging your lifestyle in a way you might not have thought of.

Now, I’m not saying it’s not fun or helpful to know someone has sent you a message or email, but the reality is if you’re constantly being stimulated by one ping or another you invariably become distracted, and when you become distracted, it becomes impossible to get any meaningful work done. Not only does it provide a distraction, but it adds to the overall stress burden our bodies have to face on a constant basis!
