When we think of mindfulness or the act of becoming more mindful, we are often consumed with notions of reclusive meditation, or hiking in pristine, outdoor spaces removed from the chaos and buzz of urban living. But if we had to go to that much trouble to actually practice mindfulness, no one would ever bother being mindful, save for Tibetan monks and wilderness adventurers. Advances in consumer technology have made mindfulness a readily practicable habit whether you reside in the concrete jungle of New York City or the grass laden slopes of the Swiss alps. That is why, in this week’s video blog, I’m going to talk to you about the ascension of these technologies, and introduce you to some of my favorites! I’m going to show you how these tech tools can be employed for creating a state of constant mindfulness, and demonstrate how that state leads to a place of thanks and gratitude—important given this week’s gratitude celebration.
After you've had a chance to watch, I would love to know — What worked and what didn't work? Do you have any tips on for others on how they can cultivate mindfulness? Leave a comment and let me know.
